So what are the steps for installing a DOA in an X-12 ?

I have some mill max sockets , do I just solder them in and put in the DOA ?

Solder the sockets, remove the PDIP chip, insert your DOA. - Done.

Optional: If you want to remove any popping sound when changing gain, measure the DC voltage at the opamp output and adjust on-board trimmer. Adjust as close as possible to 0.00mV (You won't exactly hit 0.00 but just make it as low as you can.)
